OUR HISTORY

In 1999, four former students of Collège Regina Assumpta (CRA), Marguerite Esther Chevalier-Mompremier, Grace César Achille, Réséda Célestin and Geneviève Casseus, got together in Florida and created the “Fédération des Anciens de Regina Assumpta (FARA)”.

They launched a crusade to reinforce the school’s mission, which is providing to others the same opportunities they had. Year after year, they devoted endless time to motivate people in their communities to join their noble cause through their fundraising events.
FARA is legally registered as a 501©(3) in the state of Florida.

VISION STATEMENT

FARA’s goal is to become one of the best non-profit organizations to foster educational support in Haiti and abroad.

SCHOLARSHIP NOMINATION FORM

INSTRUCTIONS FOR STUDENT NOMINATIONS
Federation des Anciens de Regina Assumpta, Inc. (F.A.R.A.) is an alumni non-profit organization dedicated to providing academic empowerment and educational opportunities to many children whose parents are unable to afford tuitions to a reputable institution in Haiti. With such strong commitment to quality education, F.A.R.A. offers additional scholarship opportunities to financially disadvantaged high school Seniors who display academic excellence. Three scholarships are awarded per year to represent the tri- county areas of South Florida (Broward, Dade, & Palm Beach) during an organized fundraising event. Each award is five hundred dollars ($500.00). 

School BRACE, CAP, and Guidance Counselors are encouraged to nominate at least one student. Nominees must meet and provide the information below to be considered. All scholarship winners will be invited to attend F.A.R.A.’s Annual Fundraising Banquet.  Scholarship winners must arrive by 9:00p.m. with a parent or guardian to receive their award.
